HubSpot vs Pipedrive for a small B2B team.

Pick Pipedrive if you want a simple, visual sales pipeline your team will actually use, at a predictable per-seat price. Pick HubSpot if you want marketing, sales and service in one system and expect to grow into it. For two or three sellers who just need deals tracked, Pipedrive is usually easier to adopt.

The detail

Questions people ask.

Is HubSpot or Pipedrive better for a small business?

For a small team whose main job is moving deals forward, Pipedrive is usually quicker to set up and easier to keep clean. HubSpot is the better choice when you also want email marketing, forms, landing pages and reporting in one place, and you’re prepared for the price step up at Professional.

How much do HubSpot and Pipedrive cost?

HubSpot’s official pricing (USD) shows Sales Hub Starter at around $20 a seat a month, with a lower figure for annual or promotional billing, and Professional at about $90–$100 a seat plus a $1,500 onboarding fee. Pipedrive’s UK plans run from about £14 to £79 a seat a month on annual billing, according to UK reviews; we couldn’t verify GBP monthly prices on Pipedrive’s own page.

Prices exclude VAT and change often. Check both vendors’ pricing pages before you buy.

Which is easier to set up?

Pipedrive, in most cases: one pipeline, a few stages, and you’re away. HubSpot has more to configure, which is also why it can do more. Either way, most CRM problems are set-up problems: stages that don’t match how you sell, and no automatic follow-up.

What I’ve seen in practice

I ran the full sales cycle through a HubSpot pipeline at a marketing agency in 2023, and I set up CRMs for clients now. The tool matters less than getting the stages, fields and follow-up right.
